This view of Big Brook as seen from Rt 30, just west of Long Lake is just one example of the wonderful views that can be seen from the roadside within the Adirondack Park. Established in 1892 the Adirondack Park consists of nearly 6 million acres, making it the largest Park in the lower 48 states. Almost half of the Adirondack Park is designated forest preserve and is protected as "Forever Wild"
