Bear walking along path
Bear walking on Path This Brown Bear was doing alot of digging under stumps and in the sand of the beach in search of food. Bears are very adaptive and there isn't much a hungry Bear won't eat. Though I'm sure they would rather feast on a big Salmon or a Moose carcass , a Bear's diet can also include, among many other things, small rodents, roots, berries and even grass. This is a good fact to keep in mind while camping in Bear Country. Food is usually best hung high in a tree or in "Bear canisters" and cooking areas should always be kept clean and far away from your sleeping area. |
