You can't tell by this photograph, but the temperature was well below zero when  I photographed this Cardinal from my blind. I took this shot of a male Cardinal, with his bright red feathers ,as he landed on one of his favorite perches. Quite often you only have to go as far as your own backyard to find true marvels of nature.
