Children's

The ages and
stages of childhood
A
good children's photographer must be part child psychologist and part
circus clown with a little bit of Sponge Bob Square pants thrown in for
good measure. Kids usually start to feel comfortable when they realize
that I can be pretty silly and we usually have some good laughs in
every session. We strive to get natural expressions, so we forbid
parents to utter "The S word" (Smile!) during the session. Too often
children become trained to apply a forced smile to their faces for
pictures and whenever a camera is pointed at them they "Strike the
pose". This is not the look we are going for! Through real in studio
interaction the photographer and subject will get to know each other
and in the process the child will show the expressions that you have
come to know as part of thier unique personality. It is amazing how
many different expressions can be captured of a child in a photography
session and in the process of creating these images we all get to have
a fun goofy time.
Every
child is different and every age brings new and amazing changes in
your youngster. We like to look at childhood photograpy by breaking it
into
the different ages and stages below.
