Walking Bear
"Walking" Bear Though Brown Bears " Grizzly " in the wild don't normally walk on their hind legs for long distances, this photograph might make you think otherwise. In reality the Bear stood up on his hind legs to smell the air, as Bears often do, and turned to his left, took a step and then went back to using all four legs. A Bear's sense of smell has been compared to that of a Bloodhound and is used to detect, among other things, food, trouble and other Bears. |
