Bears gathered at falls
Bears Gathered at falls Bears are not normally found in packs like Wolves or other predators, so during the the Summer Salmon run the Brown Bears that come to fish these falls must learn to tolerate each other. There is a definite pecking order among these Bears where the bigger, stronger more dominant Bears get to fish first while the subordinates must wait their turn. If a smaller Bear is fishing one of the prime spots, it must leave if a more dominant Bear wants to fish there. The combination of good fishing skills and the ability to secure a good fishing spot is they key if a Bear is to get the most out of the short lived Salmon run. |
