Raccoon with Marigolds

Though Raccoons ( Procyon lotor ) are best known for their mischievous night time activities, the young Raccoon in this photograph decided that a little broad daylight was not going to stop him from raiding my neighbor's garden. Luckily for me I happened to be photographing flowers in the garden when this cute little guy popped up in the middle of the Marigolds and started eating them. Photographing first and asking questions later, I managed to shoot off a few frames of this Raccoon before he disappeared into the bushes. What I hear most from people that see this photo is " he's so cute " or "what a cute raccoon" , and I have to agree. You don't even have to be a Raccoon lover to realize that this really is one cute Raccoon !
